Inclement Weather Make-Up Plan
Posted on 02/22/2019

The 2018-2019 School Calendar has been revised and reflects the make-up plan for lost instructional time due to inclement weather. The plan includes adding 10 instructional minutes per day beginning Monday, February 25; 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes in the afternoon. See revised Daily School Schedules. This means our school start times will begin 5 minutes earlier and dismissal times will be 5 minutes later. First Student, our yellow school bus provider, will pick up students 5 minutes earlier and drop them off 5 minutes later. For 4K & Early Childhood Programs, the morning session will begin 5 minutes earlier (8:20 AM - 11:00 AM) and the afternoon session will dismiss 5 minutes later (11:40 AM - 2:20 PM).

The make-up plan is as follows:

  • Add 10 instructional minutes from February 25 through June 7

  • May 3 is a full-day of instruction (placeholder for inclement weather)

  • May 24 is a full-day of instruction in place of a Professional Learning Day

  • June 6 is a full-day of instruction

  • June 7 is a full-day of instruction for secondary students

  • June 7 is a half-day for elementary students with a dismissal time of 11:35 AM. Lunch will not be served. No morning or afternoon Pre-K classes.

  • June 7 in the afternoon is Elementary Recordkeeping

  • June 7 is students’ last day

The revised school calendar has been posted to the District website and can be found here.
