A new application must to be completed each school year to qualify.
All of the schools in the District offer the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program. All menus offered to students and staff comply with the new USDA meal pattern guidelines.
Welcome to the School Nutrition Services home page. Nourishing the mind and body daily with healthy foods has a positive impact on a student's ability to learn. We currently offer the School Breakfast Program in all schools. Students eligible for reduced price meals may have a free breakfast each day. The National School Lunch Program is offered to all students enrolled on a full-time basis. The Special Milk Program is offered to 4K students who attend school half days. Several of our elementary, and both middle schools, offer the After School Snack Program free to students at area eligible schools. Please contact your child's school for additional information.
During summer school, we offer the Summer Food Service Program at all schools that have summer school classes. This program provides FREE meals to ALL children.
Seven elementary schools and one charter school have been approved for the USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). The program allows students attending those schools to receive a free breakfast and free lunch each school day. CEP is a 4-year reimbursement program for schools participating in the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast programs that wish to offer free meals to all children in high poverty schools without collecting free and reduced meal applications.
The approved schools are:
- Franklin Elementary
- GD Jones Elementary
- Grant Elementary
- Hawthorn Hills Elementary
- John Marshall Elementary
- Lincoln Elementary
- Thomas Jefferson Elementary
- EEA Charter School
We take pride in all that we do and we thank you for allowing us to provide healthy meals for your children!
