Pupil Nondiscrimination Self Evaluation Report
Wis. Admin. Code § PI 9.06 requires school boards to evaluate the status of nondiscrimination and equality of educational opportunity in the school district at least once every five years and report the results to the Department of Public Instruction.
As part of that work, a team, made up of Wausau School District staff, including administrators, put together the Wausau School District Pupil Nondiscrimination Self-Evaluation Report. Now that the report has been compiled, we need to provide an opportunity for participation by students, teachers, administrators, parents/guardians, and residents of the school district. If you would like to share a comment, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Andy Grimm, Coordinator of Pupil Services, via email at agrimm@wausauschool.org
PI 9.01 Discrimination prohibited
- Public schools in Wisconsin cannot discriminate against students based on characteristics like race, religion, disability, or sexual orientation. This includes admissions, programs, and activities.
- Exceptions are allowed for special programs designed to meet the specific needs of students, such as gifted and talented programs or special education
